Our Theory . . .
Education is catalyzed by engaging in discourse around the existential crisis—a method of rehumanizing and building solidarity. That discourse is then nourished by creating decolonized, interdiscplinary research experiences that are phenomena based, land based and essentially identity based.
“What does discourse around the existential crisis look like?
We were born into a world we didn’t create, now what? Who are we? Why are we here? What is it we are supposed to do?
Each student experiences what it means to confront their own intellects and curate their own learning”
—Notes from the Founders, Melissa Hunter Gurney & Christopher Banks Carr
We work collaboratively with learning communities to —
Re-humanize education by harnessing global intellect and embedding sustainable, decolonizing practices.
Integrate consulting, coaching and curriculum design with the disruption of social-educational spaces.
Synthesize innovative practices and philosophies to create authentic, student led research methodologies that are authentic to the communities they exist within.
Land-Based Education
We work with schools to set up land based learning excursions curated to themes, projects, initiatives and culture.
